Richard is a familiar face on the show jumping circuit supporting his daughter Ruby, and is also on site to offer invaluable advice and support to up and coming riders. Richard is the vice chairman of the Norfolk Show Jumping Club, being one of the founding members over 40 years ago.
Richard started his riding career at the age of 4, by the age of ten he was competing regularly at affiliated level before moving onto senior county level.
Ruby started riding at the age of 8, she quickly progressed and within two years was competing successfully at affiliated level country wide on a successful string of ponies, often standing at the head of the line on many occasions.
Ruby is still supported by Richard and her mother Sally as she has successfully competed in seniors, still holding her place in the head of line ups.
Lisa has been a longstanding influence, working with Berries Farm and supporting Ruby for over 20 years.
Lisa's dedication and hard work completes the team.
Lisa has her own horse, is a regular face on the yard and is always on hand to help and assist liveries.
As well as looking after liveries, Lisa also rides and cares for Ruby's horses, assisting in their fitness and training.
For those wanting to have a little guidance show jumping, Colin Keeling an experienced show jumper and producer came to Berries Farm to give a showjumping clinic.
Positive in his approach and kindness in his guidance, liveries were left with confidence to fulfill their potential throughout the rest of the season.
Each year Berries Farm takes a team of horses to Houghton International horse trials. Aspiring to Ruby's talents, some liveries join us to take part in a competitive environment.
This year, as a result of support from Richard, one livery found some "brave pants" and joined the team. For this livery, when she met Mango, she was determined she would never let four feet leave the ground. Due to the support of Berries Farm and other encouraging liveries, she took Mango to Houghton and ended up in the placings!!
