Berries Farm prides itself on ensuring all liveries feel a sense of belonging. We are confident that when owners are happy, then horses can relax and enjoy a peaceful environment. Richard achieves a positive, supportive yard (whereby everyone feels comfortable to assist one another) by arranging regular events for everyone to take part in.
Richard organises events outside of the yard such as Nights at Great Yarmouth races, Meals out, Bowling and a festive trip to Olympia Horse of the Year Show. Back home on the yard, Richard has also organised summer BBQ's, clinics with outside equestrian professionals and the most attended event of the year: The annual fun day-involving all inclusive fun activities for everyone to take part in with their horse.
If Berries Farm was to have a pitful, it would be that fun is added into yard duties, creating our very own time zone!
Taking the fun of the yard to the annual Show Jumping Ball!
A rare opportunity for everyone to switch yard clothes for 'glad rags' and embrace the atmosphere of Yarmouth races and music nights.
Each year Berries Farm organises a group trip to London to help everyone get into the Christmas Spirit at Olympia's Horse of the Year Show.
With Holkham Beach just a little more than an hour away, experience miles of sandy beach and a refreshing swim in the sea.
Our most popular event of the year is our livery annual fun day followed by a disco and buffet. Events for everyone to join in with and simply have fun with their ponies
Each year, fireworks can be a traumatic time for horses and their owners.
Whilst many enjoy the annual celebrations, for horse owners it is a stressful time, as we aim to keep our animals as calm and safe as we possibly can.
Berries Farm works hard to investigate when and where firework displays are in relation to the yard. Livery owners are regularly updated, enabling them to make provisions for the care of their horses.
With main displays falling on or near 5th November, Richard makes the evening as enjoyable as possible, by providing food and warm drinks to lessen the potentially chilly evening for his liveries.
For Berries Farm fireworks night is an annual event for liveries to get together whilst they ensure their ponies are safe.
Thankfully, recent years have ended without any stress to animals as a direct reason to fireworks... just maybe a few curious ponies who question the regular checks and even extra haynets!
Everyone enjoyed the welcomed hot dogs and pizza, provided by Richard. An opportunity to warm through and stop rumbling tummies!
Beyond the serious of keeping ponies safe, owners also get the chance to get together and chat.
We are lucky at Berries Farm in that their are so many dogs to befriend our own canine companions. After an evening of playing and eating sausages sleep is inevitable!
